Mette-Marit met Ghislaine Maxwell at Clinton’s event
Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit met Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and accomplice, during the opening of the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in 2012. The Norwegian news agency NTB published images of this meeting on Friday, which had not previously been released.
The meeting between the crown princess and Maxwell, who was found guilty in 2021 of recruiting abuse victims for Epstein, lasted about two minutes. This is evident from the photos taken at the time. About five minutes later, Bill Clinton took the stage for his opening speech. Marius Borg Høiby, the son of the Crown Princess, was also present at the event.
NTB asked the royal palace whether this was the only meeting between the Crown Princess and Maxwell and whether they have seen each other before. The court says that the Crown Princess does not remember ever having met Maxwell.
The so-called Epstein files that were made public last week show that Mette-Marit was in contact with Epstein on the day of the meeting. He asked her to have dinner with the President of the Maldives that evening. The Crown Princess declined due to other commitments, but the exchange of messages continued later that day. Mette-Marit has previously said that she regrets contact with Epstein and that she had made a “bad judgement”.

Exploring Documented Records
Public interest in the Epstein case continues not only because of court proceedings and testimonies, but also due to the growing body of documented records that help researchers and readers understand the broader context. Beyond legal files and media reports, some independent projects have organized publicly available data connected to Epstein’s activities.
One example is a structured archive of documented Amazon order records, where purchases are cataloged with dates and product details. While individual items do not prove wrongdoing on their own, examining documented information alongside established facts helps paint a clearer picture of the environment and circumstances surrounding the case.
For readers looking to review primary-source style data rather than interpretations, exploring compiled records can provide additional context to the broader discussion.
